Knocked Up
June 10th, 2007, terribly early in the morning
Let me start by saying this is a movie review and nothing else. In other words, nothing new to report from the Goyal household.
Aparna & I are in Dallas this weekend staying with my parents. On Friday night, we left Liah with them and headed out to see Knocked Up. The night didn’t start out great as when we walked into the theater the movie was playing it, it was almost completely full! Not wanting to sit in the first row, and not wanting to sit apart (awwwwww), we went back to the box office and got tickets for the next show…40 minutes later. Ok, it could’ve been worse if the movie wasn’t playing on so many screens. Well, the wait ended up being worth it as the movie was great! Aparna & I both really enjoyed (a rarity!). We thought it was very funny and very real. In fact, it almost exactly mirrors how Aparna & I got together. Ok, that last sentence was a lie. Anyway, Aparna did think the movie had too much cursing, but she’s not much of a curser herself. I, on the other hand, had no problems with the numerous f-bombs dropped in the flick.
If you are up for seeing an enjoyable movie, you can do much worse than going to see Knocked Up.
