Aparna and I had our first “date night” in a loooooong time tonight. Rob and Kelley babysat Liah for us (thanks again!), and I took Aparna to dinner and a movie. Yes, we saw Superman Returns. …and yes, the dinner and movie were combined into one. …but we still had a great time! I thought the movie was good, not great, and Aparna had the same feeling. In the movie Superman returns to Earth after being gone 5 years, and Aparna and I both felt it was a little hard to get past the fact Clark Kent shows up after being gone for five years on the same day Superman returns, and nobody notices! Anyway, it’s a fun, family friendly movie I recommend. It was certainly fun hanging out with just my wife for a change. We got home to find out Liah behaved herself for Rob and Kelley, though she did put up a bit of a fuss going to bed. Probably because she was missing her dad. Ok, ok, who am I kidding? She was missing her mom.

For those who aren’t geeks, just know there is a whole slice of technology dedicated to sticking a USB connection on anything. Latest case in point? USB powered shirts with built in fans. I only wish I was making this up.

The shirt literally plugs into your computer so two fans will blow on you to keep you cool. The puffy shirt effect is a bonus feature.

Enjoyed my 1st Father’s Day this past Sunday, and one of the reasons was the photos Aparna surprised me with!

Yep, that’s Liah with a keyboard and mouse. Are you surprised how much she loves them?

Oh yeah, the “Daddy’s Girl” outfit was another Father’s Day gift. Try as I might, I can’t get Aparna to agree to dress Liah in it everyday.

Yes, I already knew they were in the finals. I ditched a Diabetes Foundation event I attented with my in-laws to catch the 2nd half of Game 6 of the Mavs/Suns series!
