Yep, my wonderful wife turned, umm.. hrmm… uhhh… 29 yesterday! (no, not today… I can only imagine the shock if I did a same day update of my blog!)
I’ll have a full set of photos up soon, but here’s a sampler from the Bar-B-Q (you read that right) Birthday dinner.
Your eyes are not fooling you. The candle does indeed say 40. Why? Because Aparna’s husband is a dork. However, I did do something not dorky by surprising Aparna. No, not by taking her to Bar-B-Q for her birthday, but by having our local gang of friends meet us for the festivities. Of course, the dorky things I did far outweighed the non-dorky things. For more proof just check out the photo again and notice the party hats. If you look closely you’ll see I procured “Hello Kitty” for the girls and “Harry Potter” for the boys. 
We all had dinner at The Salt Lick. Why? It just happens to be the best BBQ in the world. Yummy. If any of you blog readers ever make it to Austin, I promise to treat you to dinner there if you mention this! In addition, Aparna had never been there. Everyone had a good time, even our pal Sonia who made sure everyone knew she hated BBQ.
