So tired
3 years, 5 months ago on Monday, August 8th, 2005, late in the eveningWell, Liah is 4 weeks old today. Hard to believe it’s already been 4 weeks since she came into our lives. Really, there are no words to describe just how unbelieveably TIRED I am. We’re talking pure, unadultered fatigue. I don’t believe I’ve ever had to deal with a constant state of exhaustion like I am now. zzzzzzzzzzzz. Ooops. Sorry. Dozed off for a bit.
I have new level of respect for all the other parents out there. And poor Aparna. Having to constantly pay attention to Liah AND deal with my constant need for attention.
So this might be no big deal for all you “Bobs” and “Janes,” but I met my first Mohit today. I called Amazon’s customer service line (yes, Amazon does have a phone number) and much to my amazement Mohit answered the phone. Amazon Mohit was far more polite than Tactless Mohit, but the funny thing (to me at least) was how neither of us bothered to acknowledge our common name. Of course, Amazon Mohit was just trying to finish the call as quickly as possible.
The above “anecdote” should make it crystal clear I haven’t gotten out much the past 4 weeks.
Okay, I’ll leave you with one photo of our goofy child. I wish I could say we posed her, but nope, this is how she likes to sleep. Good thing she doesn’t have B.O.

Nothing to lose sleep over it. Welcome to parenthood. It does seem to get easier as the baby gets a little older. Just hang in there. Love, mom.

Post all you want Raj. I assure you I will refuse to turn your comments over to the Senate when you’re appointed to the Supreme Court.

Thanks Mo. For the record, since Liah is a baby that may come before me someday, I am unable to offer an opinion about her at this time. I will, however, judge her modestly, respectfully, and within the constraints of the Constitution.
Regards,
Justice Raj
