Family Weekend
3 years, 11 months ago on Sunday, February 6th, 2005, in the wee hoursWell, we survived having the family visit for the first time.
All totaled, there were 10 of us at the house this weekend. We had a GREAT time. Sure the mattresses we ordered never showed up, but we made do. I think my favorite aspect was how nuts it drove Irma and Maneesh that Anila is a big fan of me (for now). My other favorite part was seeing Irma with a basketball attached to her. Only 4 months to go before I’m a Mama!
We all went to dinner at Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill Saturday night. Excellent food, drinks, and service. I highly recommend it. I would describe the cuisine as ‘eclectic mexican’.
As the family left early on Sunday, we were fortunate enough to see a lot of our Austin crew tonight. Garrett & Amy threw a fabulous party to which Aparna & I took the most tacky cake. Yes, we took a photo. No, I don’t have a copy of it yet, but rest assured you’ll see it soon. We also visited Dimple & Rahul and were able to spend time with Rohan. I’m happy to report he’s absolutely splendid!
If I wrote about work on my blog, I’d complain about having a 7am meeting tomorrow morning, but I don’t write about work here so I won’t.

We had a fabulous 1st visit to your new home. You were great hosts. The house is beautiful and you did a great job getting it ready quickly for the family get-together.
Here is the down side of your warm hospitality. It won’t be long before you start regretting moving so close to home. You may be seeing us more often than you would like. So be prepared. Love, mom
